INSICURO NONCURANTE E IL MANUALE DI CONOSCENZA

INSECURE UNCONCERNED with Manual of Knowledge is a portfolio of 133 works by Boetti on cardboard plates. Eighty of these plates were part of the Insecure -Unconcerned edition, made by Boetti in 1975. Within this portfolio, Boetti would have liked to have included the Knowledge manual, a collection of typewritten texts written in collaboration with his friend and curator Giovan Battista Salerno to theorize the many themes Boetti developed throughout his career. Texts that are not explanations of each individual work, but points of thought, rules of the game, etc...Created to be paired with each work in the portfolio. A project that Boetti continued by adding works and texts but unfortunately never completed. Agata, to whom Boetti had entrusted the project, concludes it here by adding the new 54 works and finally including the Manual of Knowledge. A book that helps to enter the work and 134 works to look at, study and why not stick on the wall your favorites!
