IL LIBRO DEI QUADRATI

The book, published in 2017, is a collection of all the sentences of Boetti's small embroideries, created between 1972 and 1994. The project was created by the artist himself, who then, having failed to realise it, asked his daughter Agata to do it for him. The set of phrases reveals the broad poetic language behind what he called his 'singular multiples'. The last pages were deliberately left blank, in case new sentences were discomposed after the edition was published. In 2023, ten new unique sentences were archived and stickers of them were made available to 'complete' the book.
